Barb, you know how one of my boys in particular can be pretty camera shy… I was impressed that you were able to get such good shots of him (and our family). I think that’s because you are going for ‘natural’ and if he thought he had to ‘pose’ for you, he’d have nothing of it. I’d recommend Barb to anyone who wants personal, unique photos of their loved ones.  She portrayed our family accurately, not asking us to cock our heads at odd angles or sit in positions that aren’t natural for us.  I love that she captured my kids being who they are, not performing to achieve the ‘perfect pose’.

…he told me 3 different times this evening that he really liked having his picture taken. And when I tucked him into bed he said, “I’d really like to go get my picture taken again soon!” That’s not something that one normally hears from a 7 year old! Wicked!

She also told me, in person, that her mom called her in tears after seeing photos of her daughter, because she thought they were so beautiful!

Barb, Thank you so much for your time and the fabulous photos!!! They are AWESOME! I think the best family photos and photos of the kids we have ever had done. You captured their true essence! It was also neat that you were able to get the family pets in on the deal. They are so loved by the kids, well, what would a family shot be without the pets? Also, everybody has loved the shots you took of me. Normally I am not happy with pictures taken of me, but these were REALLY good. You really do an excellent job and have such a good eye for photos! I will be using you again next year when we get photos taken again. Everything else would seem second class to your work now. Thanks again!!!!!

It was really comforting to have Barb taking our photos. As a mom of 3 kids, she understands that the process of taking photos probably won’t be a linear one! She was extremely patient, willing to try different things, and able to work with the kids to motivate them to want to take the pictures. I look forward to our next session!
