Rosemary’s Swingin’ Ranch
I love going out to my friend Rosemary’s ranch!
It’s such a different place from that at which my kids usually get to play. There are lots of animals to look at (and pet and feed) and trees to climb, and places to explore. We even get to keep chickens out there, as I’ve previously posted.
I got to do some family pictures for Rosemary’s family last week and we had a lot of fun, despite the mosquitoes that are hardened to bug repellant. 
Here are a few of my favorites, with a variety of processing done on them (they get versions with the basic processing as well).
It was Greg’s idea to capture the moon in that shot, and with the family’s ranch in the background I think it’s a wonderful photo!
Whew! It was a chore to get both boys smiling at the same time, but I had lots of wonderful help.
And just because Rosemary loves her horses so, I’m sharing one of my favorites with a horse in it. That’s Magic in the background.
I’m so glad we were able to do this, Rosemary! Thank you to you and your family for being such wonderful hosts to my family and my camera club; we had a great time.

Barb, you know how one of my boys in particular can be pretty camera shy… I was impressed that you were able to get such good shots of him (and our family). I think that’s because you are going for ‘natural’ and if he thought he had to ‘pose’ for you, he’d have nothing of it. As a kid I remember going to Olan Mills for a family photo and dreading it, but having you hang out and our place and play with us and your camera was really fun. Can’t wait until the next time!
