Family Photo Session: The Guinea Pigs

At the beginning of a recent family photo session, I started off taking photos of the son and his pet guinea pigs.

It was a pretty exciting morning, as he had just gotten a new cavy a few hours before my arrival. That new little one, nicknamed Squeakers until a better name could be chosen, was too skittish (and quick) to be photographed alone. But the older two amazed me by their calmness and willingness to stay where put!

Here are some of my favorites from the part of the session with the boy and his pets, who are so adored by everyone in the family.

Can’t you tell how much he loves his girls? Here he is with Crystal and Moppet together.

Squeekers made it into family photos where she was held separately. Any time she was with the older girls, she scurried underneath one or the other… or right in between them where she couldn’t be seen.

Here’s one of their son by himself; I just love how his eyes stand out!
