Down On The Farm

We stopped by our friend Rosemary’s yesterday. We used the excuse that we needed to pick up some eggs, but we really went to play (the kids) and have a nice conversation (the women ;) ).

It’s always hard to get the kids to leave Rosemary’s, but that’s probably mostly ‘cuz I’d like to stay and talk… we always have great conversations!

We got to:

visit with the hens,

B. with his Buff Orpington, Kutchie.

This one makes me laugh, ‘cuz that’s a hip hop jacket she’s got on. City Girl, Country Girl. :D

A. caught her all by himself!

Who’d ever want to leave that???

On a side note:

I recently won VIP access to a very cool forum called PhauntActions ; I was super excited to win, and now have to find the time to make my way through everything that’s available to me.

One of the things I’ve found in the limited time I’ve spent there is that there’s a monthly photo contest. I enjoy the challenges that come with these theme contests, and wanted to enter.

October’s theme: Repeating Patterns.

I already knew I wanted to take pictures of all our eggs to post on the blog, but I got other photos as well, just in case the eggs didn’t work out to my liking.

There were others, but these were the only ones I liked well enough to keep. I submitted the one of the eggs at the top of this post.

Which one would you have chosen?

p.s. the Phaunt Forum is open to everybody, and is free. If you are interested in making your photos better through Photoshop, or even digital scrapping and graphic arts, it would behoove you to join. And if you do… I’d *love* for you to put me - Barb Lattin - as your referrer! Kylie’s got a cool “Phaunt Bucks” thing going on over there, and I’d earn some as your referrer. :D

Use the form on the contact page to schedule your session or to get more information.

Thanks, Lucy! We always have a great time when we visit Rosemary’s. It helps us see our dream a little better, though that’s not always a good thing. ;)

Those rooster feathers were my mom’s favorite as well, Terri! I look forward to seeing pictures of your hens when you get them. :)

Those are incredible photographs. What camera do you use to get such fine precision and pixelation? And your kids look like they are having fun =)
