My schedule is filling up fast; I’m already booked through the beginning of November!

If you’ve been wanting to book me for your holiday photos, the two weekends I have available are

November 22/23 (you choose which day)

December 6/7 (you choose which day) no longer available

If you want one of those sessions, contact me as soon as possible!

**********
If I haven’t mentioned it here before (I know I have in person to several people, so this will be repetitive for you)… I have a very limited availability.

I want to be able to put all of my energy into one client’s session at a time, until it’s done, without having to worry about other people waiting for me to process their photos.

I spend a lot of time and attention to detail, making everything look the best I could possibly make it, while still keeping things real.

I want to be able to keep giving each client my all; therefore, I am only booking about two regular sessions per month. Talk about limited!!!

I will, however, be offering Breastfeeding Portrait sessions throughout the month, and probably about two Maternity Portrait sessions per month.

Occasionally I’ll be offering Mini Sessions and Special Sessions which will have a limited amount of available time slots; sign up for blog updates if you’re interested in those ‘cuz I’ll be announcing them here.

**********
Okay, now to my photo. I’m not posting any from my recent sessions, though a few of those are up on my site already. I want to do them all justice and give them each their own posts.

Here’s a photo I made recently that depicts how I’ve been feeling lately.

It’s a slug, on a slide. You know, it’s supposed to go fast, but it’s not, ‘cuz it’s a slug. And they just don’t. Even if they’re on a slide.

A. put it up there; he wanted to see it slide down. If you look really closely, it looks like a fingerprint on it’s back. I’m not sure if that’s actually one of my kids’ fingerprint or if that’s how slugs’ backs just look. LOL

**********
Next up:

Okay, those maternity sessions I was so fortunate to do, and some of which will hopefully be up at the Birth Art Show, if the owner of The Catalyst will accept them as late as I will be getting them there.

An administrative introduction…

Some breastfeeding portraits.

An all-natural recipe for a hair product I’m just loving.

Sharing thoughts on photography and business.

And this weekend I get to photograph my first newborn, who will be one week old when I get to meet him. Hopefully I’ll get his photos up here as an actual sneak peek instead of after his mama already has his photos. LOL

Oh, and I had wanted to share about the Urban Hen resolution.

See how behind I am? Ugh!

Ah well, it’s all fun.

His color was amazing, and along with his size made him very obvious on the sidewalk. He (am I being gender biased and calling it a “he” ‘cuz it’s blue? ) had been stationary but started to move - quickly - as I stood over him. I ran in and got my camera to snap some pix of the kids holding him.

He moved quickly and I didn’t have time to set my aperture, so most of the photos weren’t in focus. LOL On the photo above and below, he’s on A, my 3 year old. Just for size comparison.

I did some quick research online and found out that he’s a Pleasing Fungus Beetle, genus Gibbifer. They eat the fruiting bodies of fungi, and apparently

are rarely seen except by the dedicated mushroom hunter and entomologists.

I feel even more fortunate to have seen this one, now!
