Busy But Still Finding Time To Play
I was very fortunate to have been contacted by a local school to take some school pictures of the students there and have been busy working on those (taking them and processing them, going back to take more, etc.).
I’m in a little lull while I wait for the orders to come in so I know which ones I need to finish processing - and which ones I’ll be allowed to share
- and so wanted to let you all know what I’ve been up to lately.
Since I can’t share those photos yet, I’ll share some I took earlier this week.
I’ve been trying to spend mornings in the front yard, because there’s shade there for me to sit in while the kids ride bikes and scooters.
S. had gotten the chalk and started drawing cars for her and her brothers to ride in. After taking a ride, I saw that A.’s bottom was covered in chalk. I thought it was adorable; representative of the messiness and joy of childhood.
Then I began to think about those pants…
They’ve been worn by all three kids, having been found again in time for A. to wear them. B. wore the knees threadbare and S. made the big holes and added the paint.
I wonder how A. will change them over this Summer.
Hmmmm… messiness and joy together; how often do we let ourselves as adults be messy and joyful?

I love these Barb!
esp. the chalk car..ingenious idea.
Thanks, Ann Marie. She has a whole house drawn out there now: kitchen table, couch, bed, and I believe an extra couch.
