Adding To My Repertoire: Business Photos

I am having so much fun taking photos of people outside of my family.

Even more so, I’m having a great time trying to capture the personality of the people at whom I’m pointing my camera.

When Vicki recently shared about a local studio’s “business photos” on a list to which we both belong, I couldn’t imagine her getting the kind of photos I thought she’d like for her pamphlets, fliers and website.

See, Vicki’s a local musician, and while I figure the studio’s photos would be nice, I didn’t think they’d capture her creativity.

I offered to take her photos and she agreed to let me try, even though it’s so different from nursing photography. ;)

I love what we got, particularly at the end of the session.

Vicki without her guitar

and posing with it as a prop.

Boy, she really enjoys playing!

Who’s that woman behind the guitar???

and my favorite from the day…

What do you think? Too stuffy for a creative’s marketing materials? ;)

Let Vicki know what you think about her photos in the comments below.

These are absolutely beautiful! My favorites are #1 and #3; I like seeing her smile as a focus rather than the guitar.

These are all lovely. #3 captures her gentility and her soul.
    GREAT shot!
