A Birthday Tutu

I just wanted to quickly share photos of a tutu we recently made as a birthday gift.

When we got the invitation to the birthday party I called to find out R.’s favorite color.

“Ballerina Pink,” her mother said.

“Niiiiiiiiice!” I thought, ‘cuz that’d be easy to do.

And it was, with S.’s help (she was my mannequin… again).

I took a few photos of it on S. before we boxed it up; the photos don’t really let the color come through (actually, it’s more like the outfit she has on with it), but you still get a sense of the fullness and the length.

I’ll be making another as a prop for my photo sessions, and will eventually have a whole array of colors for your child/ren to choose.

I didn’t make her hold that branch - she just did it naturally. LOL

One of our butterflies emerged today and we expect the others to follow within the next few days, so you’ll be seeing that soon.

Tuesday, if the weather holds out (please, please, PLEASE), I get to photograph a Super Hero at CSU. I can’t wait!
